Commodore John Barry Arts and Cultural Center

Friday Evening and Late Night Dance

Saturday Evening and Late Night Dance

We are STOKED to bring PHLeX to the beautiful ballroom of the Commodore Barry Club Friday to Saturday in May!

This beautiful venue is located in Mount Airy, a Philly neighborhood known for its culturally diverse community and architectural styles. It’s just a short walk or drive from Chestnut Hill, known for its historic Victorian mansions and artsy downtown. Germantown Avenue runs through the area, it’s cobblestoned street lined with artisan shops and galleries. Wissahickon Valley Park, where beautiful hikes and scenery await you, borders both neighborhoods.

Parking at Commodore Barry

Parking at the Carpenter Train station next to the venue is free on weekends (ie: Saturday night), and is a short walk away. **Park here on Friday at your own risk**, obey all signs.

Harmony Studios

Harmony Studios has been the home of Jazz Attack for the last year, and it’s right in the heart of the city where the action is happening!

Parking here will be a challenge with all of the festivals going on in the city. Attempting to park here will not be for the faint-of-heart!

We recommending walking or taking public transit to this area for dancing and activities. More information on this can be found at: http://septa.org/

Pig Iron Theater Company

Sunday Afternoon Dance

The beautiful dance halls of Pig Iron Theater Company are nestled in the  buzzing, vibrant Philadelphia neighborhood of Fishtown. Cool Fishtown is where Philly’s culinary, art and music trends take off. A magnet for hipsters and creative types, the former working-class neighborhood marks the first Friday of the month by opening the galleries and studios along Frankford Avenue to the public. The vibrant nightlife includes hip bistros, beer gardens and a retro arcade. Indie bands perform at the landmark Johnny Brenda’s, a lauded gastropub.

We’re excited to bring the dancers of PHLeX to this bustling neighborhood for amazing shops, restaurants, coffee nooks, and of course, a favorite local band!

New Liberty Distillery

Sunday After-Party

Just up the road from Pig Iron Theater, nestled in a history old Carriage house is the New Liberty Distillery. This local gem is welcoming us into their distillery for  an after-party with “anything-goes” music and dancing!

Head to a nearby restaurant, bring your dinner to the distillery, and enjoy drinks and dancing to wind-down from the weekend in their 3rd-floor lounge!
